Presented the medal of the 20th Corri Trieste

We celebrate a relevant milestone with the 20th edition of Corri Trieste, an event presented by ASD Promorun in collaboration with the City of Trieste and the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region. This prestigious race is proudly included in the FIDAL National Calendar and will be held on May 21. Corri Trieste is known for its speed, as evidenced by the 28’47” time set by last year’s winner, Kenyan Dickson Simba Nyakundi. The event also welcomed high-profile athletes such as Italy’s Giovanna Epis, who set her personal best over the distance here.

The course of the race is another highlight of the event, with participants taking on the busy Piazza Venezia, running on two fast straightaways through the city center, and then exploring the stunning sea views. The course, which measures 1250 m, must be repeated under the enthusiastic stares and passionate cheering of the audience. For those who prefer a less stressful competition, the Non-Competitive Ten will take place on the same course, allowing participants to savor the atmosphere of a real competition without the pressure of the stopwatch.

THE MEDAL – Each finisher will receive a medal at the end of the race, a memento to proudly display, a reminder of the excitement of a day of sports and the thrill of the final sprint. ASD Promorun continues the tradition by giving a silver medal to each athlete. The name of the event is engraved on the medallion, with a background of the ever-present Trieste skyline, all matching the colors of the event T-shirt.
