Rules and Regulations Race of the Castles TEN 2023
Non-competitive 10km road race October 15, 2023
The A.S.D. Promorun Trieste, in cooperation with the Municipality of Trieste and the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region, is organizing the third edition of the “Race of the Castles Ten” non-competitive race over the distance of 10 km open to everyone.
By registering for the non-competitive race, the participant declares that he/she has read and fully accepts these regulations. The event will take place in all weather conditions. A doctor’s presence and ambulance service will be guaranteed. The organizing company accepts no responsibility for any damage to persons or property that may occur before, during or after the holding of the event.
DEPARTURE
Sunday, October 15
Departure: 10 a.m. from Miramare Castle at the back of the competitive race
Arrival: Square of the Militia of San Giusto Castle
REGISTRATIONS
Online registrations on the ENDU portal with a slot rate change*:
- up to 500 registered participants €12.00
- from 501 to 1500 registered participants €20.00
- from 1501 to 2000 registered participants €25.00
- from 2001 to 2500 registered participants €30.00
- from 2501 to 3000 registered participants €35.00
- from 3501 to 3500 registered participants €40.00
- from 3501 to 4000 registered participants €45.00
- Online registrations will close on October 15th, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. or upon reaching a total of 4000 registered participants between the competitive 10k race, the non-competitive Ten race and the Family Run 8k race.

BIB AND RACE KIT PICK UP
- From Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th October from 10:00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. at the registration center #100 UniTs Corsa dei Castelli in Piazza della Borsa;
- From Thursday 17th to Saturday 19th October from 10:00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. at the registration center #100 UniTs Corsa dei Castelli in Piazza Unità d’Italia;
- Sunday 20 October from 7.30 a,m, to 9.15 a,m. at the Scuderie del Castello di Miramare.
NOT PRE-REGISTERED
Only in case of bib availability and at the total discretion of the Organizing Committee will it be possible, as an exception, to register at the TEN Castles Race Registration Center.
- Thursday 10th from 10:00 to 19:00 at the registration center #100 UniTs Corsa dei Castelli in Piazza della Borsa;
- Friday 11th and Saturday 12th October from 10:00 to 22:00 at the registration center #100 UniTs Corsa dei Castelli in Piazza della Borsa;
- Sunday 13th October from 10:00 to 19:00 at the registration center #100 UniTs Corsa dei Castelli in Piazza della Borsa;
- From Thursday 17th to Saturday 19th October from 10:00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. at the registration center #100 UniTs Corsa dei Castelli in Piazza Unità d’Italia;
- Sunday 20 October from 7.30 a,m, to 9.15 a,m. at the Scuderie del Castello di Miramare.
In case of collection by proxy, the delegating party must complete, sign and deliver to the delegate the proxy form, the privacy form
, a copy of the registration confirmation letter, and a copy of his or her ID.
Race pack and bib pickup on Sunday, October 20th is reserved for athletes who are not residents of the province of Trieste.

REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS
Registration cannot be transferred to another athlete and there is no refund.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
Race open to all.
RANKINGS AND AWARDS
Entrants are not included in any rankings and are not eligible for prizes.
APPROVED ROUTE
10 km by road; starting from the impressive Miramare Castle and finishing in Piazzale delle Milizie inside San Giusto Castle, running along the Barcola seafront and through the heart of the city and the historic Piazza Unità d’Italia, the largest square in Europe open to the sea.
LIMIT TIME.
The time limit to finish the 10 km race is set at 1h 30′, beyond this time the Organizing Committee will no longer guarantee control and assistance on the route.
RISTORI
A refreshment station will be set up at km 5 and one in the finish area at St. Just Castle.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
A shuttle service will be arranged at the Central Train Station to reach the start area (Miramare Castle), Saba Silos parking lot side, from 7:30 to 8:45 am. It is advisable to park your car near the train station and areas around Piazza Unità d’Italia, which can be reached from the arrival area of San Giusto Castle within a few minutes’ walk and near the shuttle service.BAG STORAGE SERVICE
A bag deposit service will be provided in the start area at the Miramare Castle where each athlete will be able to hand in their bag with a sticker corresponding to their bib number attached to identify it. Bags can be delivered until 9:30 a.m. Post-race bag pickup at the finish area at San Giusto Castle.
RIGHT OF IMAGE
By registering for the Castles Race Ten 2023, the athlete authorizes the organization to acquire, free of charge, the right, together with its partners, to use the still or moving images on which he or she may appear, taken during his or her participation in the event, on all visual media as well as on promotional and/or advertising materials.

FINAL WARNINGS
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify these regulations at any time for reasons it deems appropriate for the better organization of the race, after giving notice and obtaining approval from FIDAL.
For all matters not provided for in these regulations, the FIDAL and G.G.G. technical statutory regulations apply. Any changes to services, locations and times will be appropriately communicated to registered athletes or will be posted on the website www.promorun.it In addition, documentation containing essential information for taking part in the race will be delivered by the organization along with the bib.
CANCELLATION OF COMPETITIONS – NON-PERFORMANCE
Should the race be cancelled, moved to another date and/or, in any case, not held due to causes not dependent on and/or not referable to the will of the organization, including the revocation of the authorization to hold the race by the competent Public Bodies, atmospheric events, earthquakes, epidemics and any other event that may affect the safety of the participants, the participant shall have no claim against the organizing company by way of reimbursement.
Entries received will be kept valid for the following year or for another Promorun event. The transfer will be completely free of charge.
