In 2021, the “Race of the Castles” had stopped at Burlo Hospital: goal solidarity.

There is a new Trieste icon on the route of “La Corsa dei Castelli,” the Burlo Garofalo Hospital becomes a recipient of the “Constance’s Corner – A Cuddle for Moms” fundraiser. The project is related to the department of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and wants to support mothers of premature babies in their first approaches, trying to make them as comfortable as possible in the daily care of their “wrens” with the use of an ergonomic Corian tray equipped with a pneumatic motor that adjusts the height.

The initiative is named after Constance, a baby girl who was born prematurely at an extremely low gestational age and who will be the spokesperson for the hashtag initiative #wearepremature for 2021 on World Prematurity Day next November 17, 2021.

ASD Promorun joins the project and joins “I’m with Burlo” through donating part of the proceeds from Family Run registrations. Athletes will be able to donate at the time of registration via the enternow website, via bank transfer to the coordinates listed below or at bib pickup where Burlo Hospital staff will be present to explain the project.
