The 8th edition of the Castles Race again opens its doors to theInternational Road Race Running Match u.23 10k, for its second edition. Thanks to collaboration with Fidal, this race has entered the official World Athletics calendar, welcoming national U23 teams from several European nations in a major international event.
Theenchanting Trieste will welcome all the athletes of the International Road Race U23 in addition to the thousands of participants in the next edition of the Running of the Castles, on October 20, 2024. The adventure unfolds from the Miramare Castle until the glorious San Giusto Castle, dedicated to the city’s patron saint. Pathway, fast and smooth, will lead runners into the majestic Piazza Unità, then continuing into the vibrant heart of the city through picturesque alleyways to St. Just Castle.

About the IRR U23 10K
COMPETITION RULES
Each national team will have a team of 8 athletes: 4 men and 4 women.
Each Federation may enter a minimum of three athletes in the final ranking by nations. The men’s and women’s rankings will be separate. Only 3 athletes will score. La team ranking will be decided by theaggregation of the placings recorded by the athletes of each team: 1st place = 1 point, 2nd place = 2 points, etc.).
The team with the lowest number of points will be judged the winner.
If a team does not reach the finish line with a full score, it will not be ranked in the team result. Athletes who reach the finish line will be counted as individuals in the race result and will be entitled to individual placement. In case of a tie between two nations, the best individual placing will be considered.
Men’s race: 10 km
Women’s race: 10 km
