XXI Rosso Corri Trieste and Rosso di Sera Family Run,emotions to wear with Joma T-shirt and finisher medal

TRIESTE – In less than three weeks, an exciting experience is on the horizon thanks to ASD Promorun, which, together with the Rosso general maintenance and construction company, recently engaged in renovations to the Old Port, has organized the Rosso di Sera Family Run for Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m. This is just the first event before the 21st Rosso Corri Trieste, a 10-kilometer road race, part of the FIDAL National Calendar, organized in cooperation with the City of Trieste and the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region for Sunday, May 19. This edition sees the return of the competition inside the now renovated Old Port.

THE RACE – The celebration begins on Friday, May 17, at 7 p.m. with the Rosso di Sera Family Run, a 3-kilometer run together with family or friends, with the possibility of participating even with one’s pets on a fully lighted course. The party continues into the sunset with entertainment and final refreshments for all. The event is associated with a charitable cause, supporting the Burlo Garofolo Foundation ETS Regional Maternal and Child Institute, with the goal of promoting scientific research, improving care, purchasing new equipment and advanced technology, and organizing educational events for children and families, as well as promoting women’s health.

On Sunday, May 19, the Old Port will come alive starting at 9 a.m. with the 21st Rosso Corri Trieste, a competitive 10-kilometer race starting at Warehouse 27, with three laps of 3.3 kilometers each. In 2020, Giovanna Epis had run this very fast course in 33’00”. At the same time, on the same course, the Non-Competitive Ten, an event open to all without the need for club membership or a competitive medical certificate, will also be held.

T-SHIRT – The event’s technical T-shirt, made in collaboration with partner Joma, is the best way to preserve the memory of participation. This lightweight and breathable T-shirt offers optimal comfort. In blue, it features the logos of Joma and the event on the front, along with the motto “Yes, We Run,” embodying participants’ passion and pride in running. The T-shirt also includes the logos of Rosso, Towers of Europe, CiviBank and triestevillas, friends and partners of the event.

MEDAL – This year’s finisher medal, part of the sustainable IFeelWood line, is linked to environmental friendliness, being produced from recycled wood obtained from fallen trees, materials recovered during forest clearing or through organic and crop rotation processes, as evidenced by FSC and PEFC® certifications. The medal depicts one of the Old Port Warehouses, emphasizing the event’s connection to the city’s history and confirming the importance of sustainability and tradition.
