Discover the New Route of the 21st Edition of Rosso Corri Trieste: Appointment on May 19!

TRIESTE – Excitement is growing within Promorun as the 21st edition of Rosso Corri Trieste, a 10-kilometer road race recognized in the FIDAL National Calendar and organized with the support of the City of Trieste and the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region, approaches. The event, set for Sunday, May 19, sees the introduction of a new collaboration with Rosso, a Trieste-based maintenance and construction specialist, whose support was instrumental in the design of a new track that is both fascinating and fast.

THE SPONSOR TITLE – Located in the heart of Friuli, the Rosso company is involved in the construction of structures and systems, interior finishes, windows and doors, and various maintenance, as well as the complete renovation of housing. With over fifty years of experience in the construction industry, Rosso has successfully faced many challenges. Currently, the company is engaged in the renovation of part of Trieste’s Porto Vecchio, a historic area built between 1868 and 1887 at the initiative of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. At 617,000 sq. m., the historically rich and no longer operational Porto Vecchio offers a unique glimpse into the commercial and entrepreneurial Trieste of the 19th and early 20th centuries, helping to preserve the city’s historical memory. This project allowed Promorun to completely rethink the race route, resulting in this new collaboration that aims to actively involve citizens.

THE RACE – After two years in which the course took place in the heart of the city, with eight laps of a 1250 m loop, this year the course returns to the interior of the Old Port, creating an atmospheric, high-speed environment. The course is similar to that of 2021, starting from Warehouse 27 and running three laps of 3.3 kilometers each, where in 2020 athlete Giovanna Epis stamped a record time of 33’00”, delivering a memorable performance to the audience.

The Non-Competitive Ten, a now traditional event that offers friends the opportunity to compete or simply enjoy a run together, celebrating the sport, will also be held in conjunction.

REGISTRATION – Registration will be open until 11:59 p.m. on May 15 or until the limit of 400 participants is reached. The next tariff update will be May 15. In addition, you can register for the non-competitive race on May 16 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Riviera Starhotels Savoia Excelsior Palace (Riva del Mandracchio 4, Trieste, entrance Via Boccardi). Registration for all categories will continue on May 18 at the same place and time, and on race day, May 19, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Old Port, Warehouse 27.
